Ms. Kitty, our newest rescue, is a 17-year-old lynx point Siamese. She was recently surrendered to a shelter by her owners when they couldn’t afford her vet care after she had stopped eating and was losing weight. Ms. Kitty didn’t settle in well at the shelter, and because of her age, no one was interested in adopting her. The shelter called us to see if we could give her a more comfortable and loving place to stay. This is our mission, so of course, we went to get this sweet girl!
When we took her to the vet, her bloodwork showed she is anemic and may have some abdominal issues, including lymphoma. The vet recommended an ultrasound and biopsy, which will need to be done this Monday.
This is where we need you. Tests like Ms. Kitty’s quickly drain our medical fund—the very fund that makes sure every senior cat receives the care they need, when they need it. The ultrasound, biopsy, and pathology will cost $766.38—a large expense for our rescue, but a necessary one. Here at June’s, every cat matters.
Any donation, big or small, helps our cats get the care they need to live out their lives in comfort and warmth. Please donate today and share this post with your friends. Your generosity makes a difference in the lives of all our cats – thank you for being part of our rescue family!
