In honor of June’s Senior Cat Rescue’s 13th anniversary, we’ve celebrated our seniors all month long with Senior Superlatives! This month, we have shared the stories of our cats: the first, the youngest, the sweetest, the silliest, the shyest, and the grumpiest.
Today, we celebrate our oldest cat, Jingles. This charming black-and-white girl with a black spot on her nose came to us in September 2015 from the Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department when she was about 18 years old. As she settled in at Hannah’s House, our main rescue home, her sweet personality worked its way into our hearts in no time. She was happy to have a warm bed, a spot in a sunbeam, gentle pets, and the love of her foster.
But as often happens with senior cats, her time with us wasn’t long, and she crossed the Rainbow Bridge two years later in 2017. We still miss her quiet love and the black spot on her nose, but we are comforted that we were able to provide her with love and warmth during her last years.
As we celebrate 13 years, we’re asking you to give in honor of Jingles, our oldest cat.
