Jersey: The Cat Who Never Met a Stranger

Become Jersey’s sponsor today and help give this friendly girl the comfort, security, and
love she deserves.

When Jersey arrived at June’s, her world had been turned upside down.

At 16 years old, Jersey came to us alongside her sister, Tailless, and their friend Bruce after their beloved owner passed away. For senior cats—especially “super seniors” aged 15 and older—losing a home can be devastating.

Grieving families often believe a shelter is the only option, but shelters can be overwhelming places for older cats. While kittens are quickly adopted, senior cats often wait months for a second chance.

That’s why June’s exists.

Instead of facing an uncertain future, Jersey found safety, comfort, and the promise that she would always be cared for.

And Jersey has made herself right at home.

A social butterfly wrapped in fur, Jersey loves being around people. She greets visitors like old friends, happily chats when she wants attention, and always seems to know where the action is. If someone is nearby, Jersey wants to be nearby too.

One of her favorite daily rituals is convincing her caregivers to turn on the faucet so she can enjoy a fresh drink of running water. In fact, she’s such a fan that she’s claimed the area around the sink as one of her favorite hangouts. When she’s not supervising sink activities, you’ll often find her curled up beside her foster mom on the couch, content to spend the evening watching television together.

Jersey’s needs are simple: a comfortable place to nap, people to love, and the security of knowing she’s safe. After losing the home she once knew, she’s found happiness again through the care and compassion of June’s. Every senior cat deserves that chance.
