Silver

Silver, an 18-year-old gray cat, arrived at June’s in 2023 from a shelter in Dallas, Texas. He had come to the shelter with his friend, Felix, who had to be euthanized shortly after they arrived there. We don’t know a lot about Silver’s life before he came to us, but we know it must have been rough, since he’s missing part of his ear from trauma.

Silver is a solitary—sometimes grumpy—cat who likes to spend his time taking warm naps hidden away in his cat cave. Grumpy cats with health problems like Silver usually don’t get adopted—he also has hyperthyroidism and takes daily medication. Instead, cats like him often languish or are euthanized in shelters.
