Help Meowt
Providing financial assistance for veterinary support to cat caretakers
The Help Meowt Program helps reduce the overwhelming number of cats being euthanized or suffering in shelters because their owners cannot provide the care they need.
JSCR provides financial assistance to feline owners, colony caretakers, shelters and rescues for cats’ needs, like spay and neuter, vaccines, veterinary care, and sometimes food.
Help Meowt is a win-win for cats and the people who love them.
To request assistance from Help Meowt, please complete the application.
Please note:

Success Stories
Meet some of the lovely cats who are living better lives because of the Help Meowt program.

Chloe: A kitty with cancer
Chloe, a nine-year-old Siamese, developed a painful lump on her leg. Michelle, her loving owner and a senior herself, had taken Chloe to the vet many times for tests and treatment. It was determined the lump was likely cancer, and the vet suggested Chloe’s leg be amputated.
Michelle couldn’t afford the amputation after all she had already spent on the prior tests and treatment. She felt her only choices were to euthanize Chloe or surrender her so she could receive the care she needed. Devastated, Michelle reached out to June’s Senior Cat Rescue looking to surrender Chloe.
Instead, through Help Meowt, JSCR covered a portion of the surgery cost, so Michelle and Chloe could stay together.
Thanks to Help Meowt, Chloe has recovered from surgery and is living her best three-legged life at home with Michelle, where she was always meant to be!
Your support makes successes like this possible.
Balou: An abandoned, very sick senior
Balou, a 15- or 16-year-old black-and-white cat, was abandoned at an apartment complex and was fed by a kind resident, Antoinette. When Balou’s health began to decline — losing weight, gagging while eating, and hiding due to pain — Antoinette reached out to June’s Senior Cat Rescue for help.
Veterinary exams revealed multiple health issues, including anemia, low potassium, and badly infected teeth. Balou underwent treatments for pain relief and received antibiotics and potassium supplements. When he was finally healthy enough, he received dental surgery, where he lost all of his teeth because they were in such horrible shape.
It took time, but Balou has recovered from his dental surgery and is now living the indoor life with Antoinette, who never gave up on him despite all the challenges he faced.
Your contributions help JSCR save cats like Balou by giving them the veterinary care they desperately need.

Solo: A fur baby no longer at risk
Solo, a sweet young cat, found herself in a difficult situation. In a world where pet overpopulation is a growing issue, Solo’s owner knew that he couldn’t keep her safe without getting her spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. However, the cost of these procedures was beyond what he could afford.
Without spay surgery, Solo was at risk of contributing to the overpopulation problem and possibly facing health issues in the future. That’s when Solo’s owner contacted us for assistance.
Thanks to the support of Help Meowt, JSCR provided funding for Solo’s spay surgery, vaccinations, and microchipping. Solo was protected from health risks and given the security that she could return home if she got lost.
Today, Solo is healthy, happy, and thriving in her forever home. She’s a shining example of how Help Meowt can make a life-changing difference for young cats.
Your generosity helps JSCR provide lifesaving care for cats like Solo, giving them every chance to thrive!
