After years of waiting, this sweet girl finally found the cozy home—and cat tree—she deserved.
We love it when our fosters and adopters give us updates, and we recently got one on Confetti. Sweet Confetti was a quiet, 6-year-old gray and white girl with long hair who came to us from a shelter in Aztec, NM. She arrived there with her kitten, who was quickly taken by a rescue group that wanted a cute little kitten, but not Confetti.

The shelter contacted us to see if we would take her, but we were worried because she looked sad and unkempt in her photos. They reassured us that Confetti was friendly and told us she had been there a while and was going to be on their euthanasia list. We quickly jumped in to rescue her, and she stayed with us for 3 years, waiting for her purrfect home.
Enter Denise, who was looking for a cat for her empty cat tree. She saw a post about Confetti, filled out an application, and we realized they made a great match!
Sweet Confetti settled into her new home with Denise immediately. She’s affectionate and loves to join Denise on her chair to snuggle and get brushed. She’s adjusting to visits with younger company—she likes to hide when Denise’s son and 17-year-old granddaughter visit, but Denise knows she will warm up with time. Her favorite spots are on the back of the couch, her favorite blanket, and—you guessed it—the cat tree.
